Raman Spectroscopic Systems

Raman spectroscopic systems are analyzer-and-probe platforms that deliver real-time, in situ chemical and composition measurements using Raman scattering. They are positioned as robust sources of precise measurement data to maintain operational visibility into safety- and efficiency-critical processes, with scalability from laboratory work to production deployment.

Raman systems are valued for multi-component identification in complex matrices, including solids, liquids, gases, and turbid media. Configurations are adapted to the sampling point and installation environment so chemical analysis remains reliable across diverse process geometries, optical path constraints, and cleanliness challenges.

System capabilities can include multi-channel analyzers (up to four channels) and multiple excitation wavelength options (e.g., 532 nm, 785 nm, or 1000 nm). Embedded software interfaces (touchscreen or web) support operational usability, while method transferability enables migration of models and calibrations from R&D to manufacturing environments. Certifications such as CSA, ATEX, and IECEx are referenced for applicable systems.

Benefits are strongest where fast compositional feedback reduces risk or improves control: reaction monitoring without grab samples, verification of blend endpoints, detection of polymorph or crystallization shifts, and rapid identification of raw materials. Because measurements are optical, implementations can often reduce consumables and eliminate delays associated with off-line analytical cycles.

Typical applications span life sciences/bioprocessing, food and beverage, chemicals, and oil and gas, including PAT-style monitoring of fermentation, synthesis, and separations. Probe options also support laboratory or process solids measurements where “no-touch” geometries are advantageous for maintaining measurement stability and minimizing disturbance.
